Part 1 –
In the last couple of years several books and seminars have sprung up about unleashing your inner goddess. What exactly does that mean? For me it means maintaining some kind of balance and sanity in my daily life. I believe this applies to everyone, including you men out there (Gods if you like). Why are we talking about this stuff? Because the world seems to be spinning faster and and we are getting more stressed.
In Chinese medicine you can increase vitality, balance your hormones and emotions. The Liver energy also helps you to have a vision of your goals and to implement them with a plan.
The Liver organ provides us with a free flow of energy and blood. For us ladies that means everything from a pain free period to feeling content without regular mood swings into anger, depression or anxiety. Liver is associated with an upward and outward reaching energy such as that of a tree with deep roots and large branches. If all the parts of the tree are well nurtured then, it will grow tall with plenty of leaves and/or fruit. We can bring this analogy to ourselves knowing that we need to provide time to nurture our soul in order for us to feel our best. If there is a retreat you’ve been wanting to do, now is the time. Acupuncture and herbs tap into the liver channel to relax the nervous system and make us less anxious about the future.
Next month I will talk about how the Kidney organ energetics can help with your inner goddess.
